Atheists. Agnostics. Freethinkers. Nonbelievers. Nontheists. Humanists. Atheists say religion is a force that gives people meaning. For many, religion is the focal point of social life, a source of illumination with respect to values and meaning, it provides opportunities for self-actualization for some, and opportunities to partake in and contribute to the noble and transcendent for many.
